The undead arise

Undead for a small zombie apocalypse scenario assembled in BLENDER and then 3D printed, based on Anvil Digital's enormously flexible and multi-variant STL kits.

 

To Serve and Protect

The New Rattlesnake Police Department has been fully manned just in time to watch over citizen protests against the bio lab outside the city limits. Unfortunately, in addition to the protests, reports of missing persons are increasing in the district.

All minis are 3D resin prints.

Police officers STL are from Albino Raven Miniatures with some head swaps from Anvil Digital.

Civilians STL kits are from Anvil Digital, assembled in BLENDER.

 

"Undead are a lie"

A little piece of scenery in scale 1/56 for modern and postapocalyptic wargaming in 28/32mm.

Most of the props are 3D printed, only the notes on the fence and the protest sign are made by hand. The copplestone base ist printend with good old filament. The utility pole is slightly shorter than in real life, because in correct scale the height isn't suitable for storage or gaming.

I'm so amazed at the level of detail that is possible with resin printing. The best purchase for the hobby ever (after brushes and paints).

 

Generic modern steel fences

The constant heat wave prevents me from painting too creatively. Therefore some tinkering in between with the 3D printer.
Modern steel fences. Actually I only wanted one as a prototype, but then it ran so fast and well that I immediately added a second one. Soon I will construct corner pieces and an access gate with the free Tinkercad.

Update: Here are the corner pieces and a gate piece with moveable door.

The Walking Dead All Out War: Maggie Booster

Because of the high temperatures at the moment, it has become a little quieter on my craft table. That's why I'm working on some smaller projects at the moment. The Maggie Booster is lying around since a Christmas Sale. Now I finally had time to apply some paint.

Let it grow, let it grow, let it grow!

The field can be used for many wargaming genres as a nice addition to the scenery. The base was made of 3mm plasticard, the fence is balsa wood. The lettuce is 3D printed. The whole base is covered with fine sand and airbrushed afterwards.

Bring out your dead!

Finally finished. All miniatures from the Collector's Edition box and three booster packs of "The Walking Dead All Out War" are painted. This was an unplanned and unexpected project for 2018, but I'm glad about it. The miniatures are excellent and the game system catches the thrilling ambience of the comic books very well.

 

The Walking Dead: More undead, more survivors

Work in progress. I have painted some more stuff from the Collector's Edition Box and finished the Glenn booster pack. Working with the Vallejo pigments for dirt and rust effects is a real pleasure. One of those things that makes you wonder why you did'nt try that much sooner.

 

C'mon, the apocalypse is waiting!

Still not finished. Here is the current progress on "The Walking Dead All Out War" project, some survivors. In the meantime I have played a few more games and I am still very impressed. It's a fast and intense game that captures the ambience of the comic books very well.
