Basing Bits

Actually just a test, but it turned out nice, didn't it?
I have supported a project on Kickstarter with hundreds of printable 3D models that are suitable to creatively design wargaming bases. Out of this huge amount of data, I printed out a few things for a little test, put them together and then painted them. And I am quite enthusiastic.
The possibilities are endless. There are small stacks of books, skeletons, jars, bottles, lots of plants, small animals, stone formations, etc. etc.. - practically for every genre, for every idea, no matter how whacky, you can find a 3D model in the project. A huge playground for me.

 

 

1 Punkt Saga Wikinger

 

Michi hat Wikinger im Wert von einen weiteren Punkt zu seiner Saga-Armee hinzugefügt. Die acht Krieger sind eine willkommene Verstärkung, der noch weitere folgen sollen.

 

 

Michi has added another point worth of Vikings to his Saga-army. These eight warriors are a most welcome reinforcement, which shall be bolstered by even more warriors in the future.

Although I really like the AvP boardgame as a kind of "dungeon crawler", I was looking for a way to play the Alien/Predator universe reasonably as "real" tabletop wargaming. In the meantime I probably found what I was looking for with 'Bug Hunt' by Five Parsecs. It's a smooth running, also solo playable generic sci-fi system that fits very well into the setting.

 

The Silver Bayonet: The Duchy of Warsaw completed

The Special Investigators Response Squad, SIRS, of the Duchy of Warsaw is ready for action.
Surprisingly fast by my standards, completely finished within a week. Probably because I needed to distract myself a bit from the terrible events in Ukraine. I finished painting the last four models this weekend.

I decided to put together a second squad for 'The Silver Bayonet' after the Württembergers to fight the supernatural. So here are the first new additions to a battle-hardened bunch of the Duchy of Warsaw. I've already got all the necessary figures based and primed, so there will be plenty to show soon.
